Institutional Collaboration
The National Vocational Training Institute recognizes the meaningful role that the private sector is playing in equipping the youth of this country with employable skills.
With the realization that no effective skill training can take place without adequate resources, the Institute has initiated the establishment of an Institutional Collaboration Committee embracing all vocational training institutions in the country, both private and public.
The aim of its establishment is to enhance their capacity to expand and to give quality training to the youth by soliciting funds from donor agencies, non-governmental organizations and other sources for this purpose.
Areas of focus in assistance has been the upgrading of their training staff, replacement of obsolete tools and equipment and helping them to acquire the needed training materials and teaching aids.
The Committee’s membership include: the NVTI, the Ghana National Association of Private Vocational and Technical Institutions (GNAVTI), Opportunities Industrialisation Centre (OIC) and the Integrated Community Centres for Employable Skills (ICCES).
